So, like, New Moon is out now. LIKEOMGYAY I now officially can have a better reason to rant about Twilight. I have not seen New Moon yet and do not plan on seeing it until I can rent it rather than paying the prices at the theater. Sooo not worth the money. I guess it'll be a while until my rants are completely valid then, but whatever. The only reason I'm actually going to see the movie is because New Moon was the only decent book out of the Twilight series, and also because they have a new director and I want to see if he/she did a better job than the last one. My ranking of the books goes like this: New Moon, Eclipse, Twilight, Breaking Dawn. Breaking Dawn was total crap in my opinion. It had the worst ending I have ever read.

Anyway. Did you hear that it broke records? How can something that involves sparkly vampires be so popular?!

*Possible Spoiler* I heard that Edward and Bella end up getting into a fight with the Volturi in the movie. Seriously? Don't the writers know that that then means that Edward and Bella kind of have to die? Though, that's an impossibility... *End Spoiler*

Well anyway... The question that people will be getting in fights over: Edward or Jacob? I pick James, but that doesn't seem to be an option and he's dead anyway, so my next choice would be Jacob. Jacob is not bipolar, controlling, overprotective, a stalker, or many of the other things that Edward happens to be. True, Jacob was kind of mean to Bella in Eclipse, but I don't like Bella so I don't care. Jacob actually cares enough about Bella to give her a choice and let her do what she wants (though he let her go a little too far with that). He learned to work with Edward because of how much he cared for Bella. So what if Edward did the same thing, that was just because he couldn't stand to see Bella upset. Jacob never would have hurt her on purpose the way that Edward did, just because he was "unsafe."

Now, since most of you will be picking Edward... He's a vampire, who admits to Bella that he wanted to kill her. Romantic. He sparkles, which I find beyond strange, but apparently teenagers these days think it's attractive. He is a stalker. It would only be okay that he watched Bella sleep if she knew he was there and they were in a relationship, which they weren't at the time. But what he did was just plain stalking. So not creepy, right? And then there's the whole bipolar issue. "I love you, Bella!" "Get away from me!" I understand some of this is due to him believing he is unable to control himself and thinks he's going to kill Bella, but Bella's the main character and a Mary-Sue, so he really shouldn't need to worry. She kind of can't die. He's overprotective and controlling to the max. "No, you can't do that, Bella!" "You can't go see those people!" Yeah, he worries, but way beyond the point where it would be sweet. Also- I can't really remember many times when Edward actually tells Bella he loves her. Usually it's something about the way she smells. While reading the books, I kind of got the feeling that he only stayed with her because he liked the way her blood smelled. Yes, he obviously had to love her, because he never killed her... And of course the whole Breaking Dawn thing, but that only happened because of Bella's compromise.

P.S. These are my opinions, and I'm not going to argue with anyone over the internet about this.
